No Human Being is Illegal! Defend Human Rights for All!

The Bush Administration's so-called "War on Terror", declared following the 9/11 attacks, from the beginning has involved a devastating assault on Constitutional rights, human rights and international law. From the initial round-up of thousands of people of Middle Eastern and South Asian heritage, to the official sanctioning and widespread use of torture and the warrantless wiretaps, the Bush Administration has been systematically attacking and undermining human and civil rights protected by International Law and by the US Constitution.

Immigrants and refugees are one of the main targets of this war waged within our country’s borders. As local and federal politicians manipulate the immigration debate in order to divide our communities, ICE raids and anti-immigrant policies scapegoat the working class and protect the economic self-interest of large corporations. We must stand together to safeguard the basic human rights that our Constitution affords to all men and women.
